As a direct ancestor of iRacing, the ‘Grand Prix Legends engine’ had multiple stock car racing false starts, before eventually releasing as NASCAR Racing 4. The original NASCAR 3, cancelled and replaced by one that used NASCAR 2’s engine, is barely remembered.
Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.
Reiza published their September, 2021 developer update on Friday, detailing the information below:
– BMW 2002 Turbo coming late September to the Vintage Touring Car class
– AI personalities getting more work for September update
– UI updates, including a revamped leaderboard screen in-session are coming (image below) including tire selection
– Monza DLC coming with a historic version including the banking along with 1971, 1991, 1994 and modern versions (screens below)
– 70s historical variants of Spa and Nürburgring also still coming in 2022
– Turbo historic cars coming (renders below)
– Racin´ USA Part 2 DLC coming November
– Multiplayer Rating System coming November
