Earlier this month when Reiza posted their AMS2 development update and said it was part one of two, I decided to wait and post both at the same time. I didn’t realize I’d be waiting 20+ days for the second part!

Anyway, Reiza today posted the second half of their November, 2021 developer update (here’s the first half), and I have been through and tried to make a bullet point list from both that you can quickly glance through.

– v1.3 should be released towards the end of this week.
– Racin´ USA Pack Part 2 is coming, and features “faster flowing tracks and its single seater heritage”. Includes the 1995 Indycar, 1998 CART and 2000 Champ Car cars and Watkins Glen, Cleveland Burke Lake Front Airport and a third to be confirmed. To be released in stages, starting soon and ending in 2022.
– Racin´ USA Pack Part 3 is delayed a little, but will have more tracks than planned.
– Aston Martin GT3 and a Nissan GT1 appear to be shown in screenshots, and a deal has been confirmed to be done with Nissan as a “number of vehicles” will be coming to AMS2.
– Azure Circuit is being rebuilt with fresh laser scan data to replace the one (the only one) they had borrowed from PCARS2.
– VW TSI Cup will be added to AMS2 main product soon. Currently it is available as a demo that cannot be installed alongside AMS2 itself.
– AI developments are ongoing. AI Modding support is coming.
– Tires, driveline model and other physics tweaks are coming in what is described as a “big physics overhaul”.
– Multiplayer rating system coming in v1.3.
– Two default profiles will now be available for controllers, with Force Feedback tweaks in the new “Default+” profiles. The new profiles are tweaked to give feedback some may prefer, without removing the original defaults as an option.

For me this is licensing heaven. I think they’re adding a stellar set of content here.
