EA Bids Against Take-Two (2K Label) For Codemasters Purchase

Take-Two announced last month that they intended to purchase Codemasters, but it seems this may not actually happen. Why? Electronic Arts had bid against their takeover offer.

I don’t really feel like 2K would change the company an awful lot but in my opinion and experience, EA Games probably would. They do have a history of highly successful racing games though including Indy 500 (1989), Sportscar GT (1999), the F1 and NASCAR Thunder series by Image Space Inc.

It’s also worth mentioning that Slightly Mad Studios (recently purchased by Codemasters) have also worked with EA in the past.
