Unsurprisingly with the recent release of major content items and the SimExpo at the Nurburgring, Studio 397 didn’t have a lot to say this month that we hadn’t already heard, but it’s interesting to read that they’ve been at the IAA in Frankfurt since then, worked with Porsche, and were showing the Formula E 2020 car and Porsche livery.

McLaren shadow (formerly World’s Fastest Gamer) Season 2 started yesterday. This isn’t the type of news I intend to report here, so head there to read more.

They talked about the recently released Nurburgring and Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, stating that the car will get more liveries and a “VLN” upgrade, while the track will get “all possible” layouts… I’m curious whether they have found a way to make the Sudschleife???

On the code side they reported all multiplayer issues (freezes, etc) fixed and are returning to work on the UI and competition system. They intend to announce a release date in a month (they’ll be announcing a date then – that isn’t the date). They mentioned the new shader system again that should make things easier for content creators, and posted a screenshot of the material editor:
