Video game development is rarely about one man, but if it was, then Terence Groening should certainly get a mention for his contributions to the genre as the man responsible for the physics of Sportscar GT, EA’s PC F1 and NASCAR games of the early 2000’s, rFactor, rFactor 2 and every title and rFpro simulator that spawned from ISI’s engine.

Studio 397 today announced on social media that they have begun to host regular time-slotted race events every day using their competition system. Until now, it hosted special events or one-off tests.
Obviously finding online races has been a major issue for rFactor 2 since launch, so this should be welcome news to many and the first step many people will have towards using it online.
Find the races in the sim, via multiplayer. The tweet and Facebook posts don’t say the timezone, but I’d assume it to be CET. Regardless, the races appear to run every 30mins and every 6 hours so should be easy enough to figure out.
