Asobo, known today as the Microsoft Flight Simulator developer, created groundbreaking technology for large scale maps that was intended to be used in a high quality rally raid title. It was never released and ended up as FUEL, a post-apocalyptic open-world racing game. What happened?
Greg Hill (of iRacing) tweeted out an image showing restart zones being tested confirming they are in “final testing” and “coming soon”, but stopping short of mentioning they’ll be in the new build due tomorrow.
He did say that they will soft launch the feature “on NASCAR ovals for use in Hosted and AI sessions”, with a wider release to follow.
