Video game development is rarely about one man, but if it was, then Terence Groening should certainly get a mention for his contributions to the genre as the man responsible for the physics of Sportscar GT, EA’s PC F1 and NASCAR games of the early 2000’s, rFactor, rFactor 2 and every title and rFpro simulator that spawned from ISI’s engine.
This interview with RSC details his early life and career, through to him joining iRacing in 2021.
Emerson Fittipaldi had four wins in the Chevrolet-powered Penske PC-21 during the 1992 season, but the car was considered quite uncompetitive in 1992 and 1993 compared to the Lola T92-00 and T93-00.
Ayrton Senna tested the Penske PC-21 on December 20, 1992 after his 1993 McLaren contract negotiations stalled. He ultimately never raced it.
First seen in sim racing with ICR1 (1993).

This official update for the Windows 95 version of IndyCar Racing 2 updates the 1.0.0 version to 1.0.1. Will not update the DOS version. The update addressed issues with loss of connection on the standings screen and unmatched weather in multiplayer sessions, UI buttons not working as expected, fixed replay positions after visiting the garage, stops the system from crashing if you quit during the credits and makes the championship winner screen show even if you don’t win the last race of the season.
GP2 is a simulation of the 1994 Formula One World Championship. It includes the 16 tracks from the season and allows the player to select from 14 teams.
