If you ever played Papyrus’ seminal Grand Prix Legends then you’ve read his name. Rich began working as a tester on NASCAR Racing (1994) and was with Papyrus at the end. In this interview, published in 2022, we discuss his time at the legendary studio and the design of Grand Prix Legends, including initial feelings of hurt at not being asked to join iRacing.

Asobo, known today as the Microsoft Flight Simulator developer, created groundbreaking technology for large scale maps that was intended to be used in a high quality rally raid title. It was never released and ended up as FUEL, a post-apocalyptic open-world racing game. What happened?

Announced in June as their first Superbike title in 10 years, things have been pretty quiet since (apart from a few rider promotional clips posted to social media). But today, thankfully, we see some gameplay for the first time with a two-minute trailer using the chase camera around Portimao.

The game recreates the experience of the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship thanks to the charm of his simulative gameplay and lifelike environments, riders and bikes, finally making the dream of the community and sports fan a reality. SBK™22 features the Official 2022 WorldSBK Championship, an immersive and fascinating Career Mode and the real SBK weekend with practices, Superpoles and Races.

SBK™22 will be released on September 15, 2022 on to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
