One of the first sim racing studios to embrace the Steam platform, SIMBIN today announced that later this month their RACE WTCC simulation will be made available online through the service.

November 13, 2006 — SimBin and Valve today announced an agreement to deliver RACE – The Official WTCC Game to consumers around the world via Steam. In addition, all retail copies of RACE sold for the PC in the EMEA territories will include Steam functionality for auto-updating, matchmaking, and anti-piracy encryption.
From acclaimed Swedish developers SimBin, RACE – The Official WTCC Game is due for release worldwide via Steam and at retail in EMEA territories on November 24th, 2006, and the first title to deliver the intense action of the WTCC championship to PC gamers.
Steam is the only full-featured broadband platform for the delivery and management of games and digital content, and has pioneered its broadband services to over 10 million customers with core and casual games from today`s leading publishers and developers.
“Delivering RACE via Steam means over 10 million gamers will have the chance to purchase the world`s first ever World Touring Car Championship game directly from their PC,\” said Henrik Roos, CEO of SimBin. \”Powering the retail version RACE with Steam means every player will have all the latest content available for the game and be able to enjoy the industry´s most advanced set multiplayer services.”
