Shortly after the release of Grand Prix Legends the sim racing community looked forward to another title that promised to offer a similar insight into historic racing. Trans-Am Racing ’68-’72 ultimately never released, a victim of a publishers shady dealings, but as a part of my research I uncovered a VHS of a never-released trailer for the game. Studio 397 posted their monthly dev update today and while it’s light on development news it does cover a number of things you may be interested in reading for yourself, especially if you watched any of the streamed races over the last few months and wondered how things worked behind the scenes.
Here are the snippets of development info mentioned:
– Another BOP update coming for the GTE cars.
– New/better default setups coming (assume that’s for the GTEs as well).
– New setups will be coming to GT3s when the Ferrari 488 GT3 is released (currently in beta).
– Another unannounced GT3 car will be released (currently in beta).
A site called ‘Global Sim Racing Hub’ scored an interview with Marcel Offermans and posted the first part of it here. At this point there is no new information, but it may be worth checking-in on it over the next week or so while they continue to post the rest of it.
