Video game development is rarely about one man, but if it was, then Terence Groening should certainly get a mention for his contributions to the genre as the man responsible for the physics of Sportscar GT, EA’s PC F1 and NASCAR games of the early 2000’s, rFactor, rFactor 2 and every title and rFpro simulator that spawned from ISI’s engine.

The 2008 McLaren MP4-23 was an ultimately successful car that took six wins and the championship for Lewis Hamilton who (at the time) was the youngest ever to win the title. Powered by the Mercedes-Benz FO 108V V8 it featured a longer wheelbase and several major aero revisions from the previous seasons MP4-22. It finished second in the constructors championship to Ferrari, who looked set to win the drivers title until the final corner of the final race, when Hamilton made the pass to win the title by one point over Felipe Massa.
