As a direct ancestor of iRacing, the ‘Grand Prix Legends engine’ had multiple stock car racing false starts, before eventually releasing as NASCAR Racing 4. The original NASCAR 3, cancelled and replaced by one that used NASCAR 2’s engine, is barely remembered.

Studio 397 have posted on the rFactor 2 Web site that Le Mans and the Ferrari 488 variants will be removed from sale beginning January 1, 2025. If you already own the items, they will remain in your product.
While this is sad, it is somewhat expected. Not only is licensing expensive, but the developer is obviously keen on pushing users over to Le Mans Ultimate (the standalone WEC racing simulation based on the rFactor 2 engine).

Dear rFactor 2 Community,
We want to inform you about some upcoming changes to the content available in rFactor 2.
As a result of expiring rFactor 2 licensing agreements, Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans) and Ferrari (488 GTE and GT3) vehicles will no longer be available on the Steam store from 1st January 2025.
If you already own this content, it will remain in your library, and you can continue to enjoy it as usual both online and offline. However, it will no longer be available for purchase or included in new bundles after the specified date.
For those of you looking to add this content to your libraries, these items will be available in the upcoming Steam sales.
Thank you for your continued support.
