Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.
Originally known as Papyrus Design, the legendary Massachusetts-based software studio developed highly-regarded simulation titles and published with Electronic Arts, Virgin Interactive and Sierra before their shutdown by Vivendi, owners of Sierra, in 2004.
Co-founded by arguably the father of the modern racing simulation, David Kaemmer, the studio created NASCAR and IndyCar titles that consistently pushed the genre forwards.
Their groundbreaking Grand Prix Legends game engine was used in three NASCAR titles between 2001-2003, evolving to become iRacing after Kaemmer re-acquired former Papyrus assets for his new company.

Frontier have released an update for F1 Manager 2022 that fixes a few issues that should actually make a decent difference to gameplay. The most notable, the first line in the changelog below, is interesting as I interpret that to mean that when the track changes from dry to wet (or vice-versa) a car on the wrong tire will no longer block those on the correct tire as they’ll now be able to properly use their speed.
Changelog:
Race Simulation
– Improvements to overtaking cars on inappropriate tyres for the current track conditions
– Improvements to weather temperature prediction towards the end of Practice and Qualifying sessions
– Fixed an error with Qualifying positions when times are within 0.001 of a second.UI
– Fixed softlock when navigating off the bottom of the standings panel during Practice session
– Fixed UI highlight disappearing when navigating the settings menuLocalisation
– Fix for incorrect Italian string when scouting for reserve drivers
