Shortly after the release of Grand Prix Legends the sim racing community looked forward to another title that promised to offer a similar insight into historic racing. Trans-Am Racing ’68-’72 ultimately never released, a victim of a publishers shady dealings, but as a part of my research I uncovered a VHS of a never-released trailer for the game. As a part of their February 2020 development update, Reiza Studios announced the release to crowdfunding backers a month ahead of the official product release on March 31, 2020. While careful to caution users that this is a BETA release, the driving feel might be representative of the quality we can expect from the title.
The first three months of content have been announced as follows:
March – Release.
April – Classic GP.
May – Hockenheim, 90’s DTM.
June – Mount Panorama, GT3, GT4.
July – Silverstone.
Each month should also see game updates and features added.
Pricing for the game has been announced; It will be $49.99. The title will be 20% off during the first week.
