Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.

Video game development is full of names that have made groundbreaking steps you’ve never even heard about. Shawn Nash is a behind-the-scenes pioneer responsible for SODA Off Road Racing’s incredible physics, Papyrus’ graphical advancements and iRacing’s use of laser scan data for the physical track surfaces.

This interview with RSC, published in 2021, details his early life and career, through both his own company, Papyrus, Electronic Arts, to his time at iRacing.

Race Sim Studio have released their BMW-alike Hypercar mod for Assetto Corsa. The MP-H Bayer Hybrid V8 features a highly detailed vehicle model produced for the modern prototype 2023 rule-set, high quality engine sounds, advanced vehicle physics and six highly detailed liveries.

You can purchase it via their Web site.

Their description:

This is the MP-H Bayer Hybrid V8 for the PC version of Assetto Corsa by Race Sim Studio.

A technological advance, this new vehicle for the 2023 season and beyond represents the latest and greatest in Prototype racing. Featuring a twin-turbo V8 and Hybrid energy for an added power boost on top, there are very few racing cars that can keep up with this level of performance.

As always, expect extremely high detailed work from all pillars of the construction: 3D model, sounds, and physics. While no expense is spared on the high level of detailing, as professional content creators, our work remains highly optimized with no excess.

The car has a wealth of animations from rotary knob movements, driver motion, wiper animations, key lighting functionality and more, with even more features with the use of Custom Shaders Patch tool (recommended version 0.1.79, but not mandatory to use the vehicle).

Find out why this car is at the top of its game, and test yourself at the limit.
