Asobo, known today as the Microsoft Flight Simulator developer, created groundbreaking technology for large scale maps that was intended to be used in a high quality rally raid title. It was never released and ended up as FUEL, a post-apocalyptic open-world racing game. What happened?
Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.
Kunos have had a busy week! Assetto Corsa Competizione received an update and new DLC pack, a new Web site was launched for the franchise and they hit a peak of 9400 users on patch release. The 2023 GT World Challenge Pack DLC added the Ferrari 296 GT3, Porsche 911 (992) GT3 R, Lamborghini Huracàn EVO2 and Circuit Ricardo Tormo – Valencia track, but most notable to users is the fact that the v1.9 patch offers significant positive changes to the tire model, suspension and aero, offering users much improved feel of what the car is doing on the race track. The cars were all previewed prior to release, but the track had to wait until Monday to receive a walkthrough video (that is worth watching, by the way).
Many more screenshots can be seen below the trailer for the DLC pack and v1.9 build notes.
