Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.
As a direct ancestor of iRacing, the ‘Grand Prix Legends engine’ had multiple stock car racing false starts, before eventually releasing as NASCAR Racing 4. The original NASCAR 3, cancelled and replaced by one that used NASCAR 2’s engine, is barely remembered.
A new folder has been added to the existing Assetto Corsa Web site named Assetto Corsa Evo. This site appears to show the logo and year of release of an upcoming Assetto Corsa racing game that is due for release in 2024, assumed to be the new name of Assetto Corsa 2, complete with the tagline “Driving. Simulation. Evolved.”
The link came from an Easter Egg within Assetto Corsa Competizione on a trackside billboard at the newly released Nürburgring 24h Pack.
