Turn10 have released the v1.1 patch for Forza Motorsport today, fixing a stuck loading screen issue as detailed below.

This hotfix will help mitigate an issue where players could encounter an infinite loading screen when saving a Quick Upgrade in the Builders Cup Intro Series under variable network conditions.

Well, it only works in the intro series, the whole career progress loss is still present, so thanks for nothing!
As it seems the freezing up after tuning, completing a race is avoidable by not touching fuel and tire in practice and before race. So we have a feature that breaks the game.
10/10 :)

And I didn't start to speak up on how tire wear affects different cars differently, or how simulation vs. normal steering seems to run on different phisycs...
