Rennsport Announces Porsche 963, Re-Announces Goodwood For Release This Year

The Porsche 963 Hypercar and the Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb course have been announced for release later this year by the Rennsport team, branching outside of GT3 car announcements for the first time. While Goodwood itself doesn’t fit a racing product either, it’s an interesting extra that might be fun for direct car comparisons.

Goodwood wasn’t exactly news as the first previews for Rennsport did showcase the track. However, I’m disappointed to see that the track does not appear to have been given an art pass. I raised issues when I first saw the track and honestly it’s a bit weird seeing people saying this trailer (below) looks graphically impressive when the track itself is extremely basic and masked with motion blur. Here are some stills from the video to showcase the lack of blending between surfaces, basic textures and the lack of polygons used on the famous wall. The car looks great though…
