Video game development is rarely about one man, but if it was, then Terence Groening should certainly get a mention for his contributions to the genre as the man responsible for the physics of Sportscar GT, EA’s PC F1 and NASCAR games of the early 2000’s, rFactor, rFactor 2 and every title and rFpro simulator that spawned from ISI’s engine.
This interview with RSC details his early life and career, through to him joining iRacing in 2021.
KW Studios have released racing Trucks for their free-to-play title, with the Trucks coming as paid DLC for a relatively decent price of $4.09. The trucks appear to be very well modelled, featuring a realistic 16-speed gearbox and a water cooled brake system. You can read more about the trucks here.
Description:
Truck Racing is a special discipline in motorsports and takes a very special breed of drivers to tame these heavy beasts. The RaceRoom Truck has been developed in collaboration with real Truck Racer Sascha Lenz and features a realistically modelled 16-speed gearbox and a water cooled brake system giving you an authentic Truck Racing experience.
