Codemasters have updated the AI driver ratings for F1 22 to more closely align with performances after Suzuka. Most notable changes are Latifi up, Ocon got tweaked and Hamilton lost a point despite outqualifying his team-mate in every race since the summer break, and outscoring everyone except Verstappen and Leclerc since the Canadian Grand Prix. As I’ve said before, this irritates me quite a bit because you could easily assume that Hamilton is getting 100% out of the car at the moment, so why would a rating go down? Because they need to balance the speed of the car… Sigh.

If a driver in a Williams is running at 100% of that Williams’ pace, they should be no different in terms of rating than a driver getting 100% out of a Red Bull. I’ve said this before, I’ll say it again, please stop tweaking car speed with driver ratings or dump the driver ratings – because they’re obviously meaningless when you have to tweak them like this!

Anyway, check out their driver ratings database.
