Asobo, known today as the Microsoft Flight Simulator developer, created groundbreaking technology for large scale maps that was intended to be used in a high quality rally raid title. It was never released and ended up as FUEL, a post-apocalyptic open-world racing game. What happened?
Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.
YouTube personality Jeff Favignano (the same person who previewed previous Monster Games titles first) got his hands on World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing today and took viewers through just over 26-minutes of action, showing off the menus, roster, features, visuals and most importantly: the physics. Based on the comments I think a lot of people feel quite positive about this title after watching it.
I’m hoping to get a review key for this title so I didn’t watch it to stay impartial and make up my own mind. If you’re curious you can check it out below (the uploader has disabled playing in embed, just click to go to YouTube).
