After previewing it a month ago, Monkey Face Software has today announced that their Setup Developer Tool 2021 is now available (releasing on Steam Jun 1, 2021).

I am happy to report that the latest Setup Developer Tool is now released* and ready for wide use.

Users of SDT2018 will immediately feel comfortable with the new app as it still does all that you are accustomed to. SDT2021 does have a new ‘minimalistic’ look that is easier to use as well. My favorite new feature is the starting setup, which takes the selected car, track, and new track variables into consideration and offers the user a reasonable starting point if they have no other. I have heard the feedback from SDT2018 users and greatly expanded the textual questions, help, and responses in SDT2021. So much so that the number of lines of text nearly doubled. It also offers a few stats for the user (just for the fun of it) and updates the Lap Logger with a new time format and graph.

* Steam release scheduled for June 1, 2021
