Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.

Video game development is full of names that have made groundbreaking steps you’ve never even heard about. Shawn Nash is a behind-the-scenes pioneer responsible for SODA Off Road Racing’s incredible physics, Papyrus’ graphical advancements and iRacing’s use of laser scan data for the physical track surfaces.

This interview with RSC, published in 2021, details his early life and career, through both his own company, Papyrus, Electronic Arts, to his time at iRacing.

I was given a review key for this title yesterday, which unfortunately left no time to get something done before the release today. Generally it seems like giving no time for review is a bad sign (see F1 22), and I sincerely hope I’m wrong about that in this case.

My Drag Racing education came from the Bethesda titles of the early-00’s only, so I’ll possibly do a ‘first look’ video over the weekend rather than a review and try to show every aspect of it so that people with more knowledge can take a look and decide for themselves.

However, all that said, they have posted a gameplay trailer (which you can see below), and the game itself can be purchased on all platforms if you want to delve into it for yourself.
