Video game development is rarely about one man, but if it was, then Terence Groening should certainly get a mention for his contributions to the genre as the man responsible for the physics of Sportscar GT, EA’s PC F1 and NASCAR games of the early 2000’s, rFactor, rFactor 2 and every title and rFpro simulator that spawned from ISI’s engine.

Sierra have today announced that NASCAR Racing 2, the sequel to one of the best racing sims of all time, recently went “gold” and copies should be in stores by December 9, 1996.
NASCAR 2, for Windows 95 and DOS, will feature Papyrus’s standard state-of-the-art gameplay and graphics, as well as a new slicked-up interface and, most importantly, eight-player LAN or two-player modem multiplayer.
