Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.

Video game development is full of names that have made groundbreaking steps you’ve never even heard about. Shawn Nash is a behind-the-scenes pioneer responsible for SODA Off Road Racing’s incredible physics, Papyrus’ graphical advancements and iRacing’s use of laser scan data for the physical track surfaces.

This interview with RSC, published in 2021, details his early life and career, through both his own company, Papyrus, Electronic Arts, to his time at iRacing.

Milestone published their roadmap for MotoGP 21, including highlights like MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 liveries, Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup, MotoE and the eventual addition of bike retrieval in multiplayer.

What isn’t listed, and still isn’t fixed, is the AI. While my review mentioned the need to use rewind during the early laps myself, I know a lot of people have been suffering far worse. Watching prolific MotoGP streamer Pitlanes I’ve seen multiple races where he is the only rider to finish the race because all of the AI crashed out. This really is unacceptable this far beyond release, especially when all formats except PC seemed to get a day one patch to fix it.

Come on, Milestone…
