Video game development is rarely about one man, but if it was, then Terence Groening should certainly get a mention for his contributions to the genre as the man responsible for the physics of Sportscar GT, EA’s PC F1 and NASCAR games of the early 2000’s, rFactor, rFactor 2 and every title and rFpro simulator that spawned from ISI’s engine.

Embracer Group, the parent of Milestone (SBK 22, MotoGP 23, Monster Energy Supercross 6, etc), Plaion (publishing wing behind many titles), Saber Interactive (SnowRunner, Dakar Desert Rally, etc) issued 80,000 new shares this week and raised $182 million according to a recent article by gamesindustry.biz.
The parent company is deeply involved with a massive amount of projects past, present and future so it’s quite concerning when a company of this size appears to have stumbled financially. Embracer are targeting a net debt of $729 million by the end of the current financial year.
