Video game development is rarely about one man, but if it was, then Terence Groening should certainly get a mention for his contributions to the genre as the man responsible for the physics of Sportscar GT, EA’s PC F1 and NASCAR games of the early 2000’s, rFactor, rFactor 2 and every title and rFpro simulator that spawned from ISI’s engine.
This interview with RSC details his early life and career, through to him joining iRacing in 2021.
Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.
On Christmas Eve’s eve Motorsport Games released an update for KartKraft that adds multiplayer beta functionality using the KA100 kart along with the Whilton Mill Go Karting and Outdoor activities circuit. The developers also note that if you want to save money on KartKraft before it exits Early Access you should purchase as soon as possible.
Unfortunately they didn’t post much other information about the update anywhere. On Steam they say:
We want to end 2021 with a bang, and this month’s content update won’t disappoint. The long awaited multiplayer beta is now available in KartKraft! Practice with up to 25 drivers in the KA100 kart and experience the true to life Whilton Mill track. We have made huge strides this year adding new content for our fans to enjoy, and our team can’t wait to show you what’s to come in 2022. See you on the track!
