Trans-Am Racing ’68-’72 ultimately never released, a victim of a publishers shady dealings, but as a part of my research I uncovered a VHS of a never-released trailer for the game. Shawn Nash is a behind-the-scenes pioneer responsible for SODA Off Road Racing’s incredible physics, Papyrus’ graphical advancements and iRacing’s use of laser scan data for the physical track surfaces.

The Amiga version runs under emulation with WinUAE as long as you set CPU Emulation Speed to ‘Fastest Possible’.
1. Download WinUAE and setup a system with specifications of an A600 or A1200 or better (set fastest possible on CPU speed)
2. Mount an Amiga ADF (disk) file containing Indy 500 and reboot to launch from it
3. Setups and replays will be saved in slots on the disk.
Mouse control was the smoothest input method available on Amiga.
