Kunos have deployed an update today that stops the rev limiter from engaging quite so harshly. Their description:
a small patch is out now on Steam to improve the engine revs limiter logics for a small amount of GT3 vehicles. The adjustment avoids a harsh engagement of the rev limiter, especially near the top speed, which could result in speed loss and possible accidents in slipstream situations.
