Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.
As a direct ancestor of iRacing, the ‘Grand Prix Legends engine’ had multiple stock car racing false starts, before eventually releasing as NASCAR Racing 4. The original NASCAR 3, cancelled and replaced by one that used NASCAR 2’s engine, is barely remembered.
Funselektor, developer of the fantastic art of rally game, has teased what appears to be a rally raid game on Twitter. With a single image, much the same way they teased the recently announced Golden Lap game back in 2022, the developer is showing what appears to be an open desert landscape and a shadow silhouette of an off road vehicle similar to a Land Rover.
This is quite an exciting possibility for a game, and I’ll be sure to follow and report any future updates.
I have upscaled the image below as the original is quite blurry.
