Constructed for the 2019 F1 season, the Alfa Romeo C38 showed a lot of promise but was ultimately unable to deliver the performances the team wanted. It finished in eighth-place in the constructors championship. Powered by a Ferrari 064 engine, the Alfa Romeo C38 still carries the chassis designations of the Sauber team which they replaced in a name change February, 2019.
