Video game development is rarely about one man, but if it was, then Terence Groening should certainly get a mention for his contributions to the genre as the man responsible for the physics of Sportscar GT, EA’s PC F1 and NASCAR games of the early 2000’s, rFactor, rFactor 2 and every title and rFpro simulator that spawned from ISI’s engine.
This interview with RSC details his early life and career, through to him joining iRacing in 2021.
Generally credited with being the car that won the 1967 title, the Brabham-Repco BT24 ran in eight of the 12 races, winning three times and taking 11 podiums that year.
World Champion Denny Hulme and team owner Jack Brabham also drove the BT19 and BT20 earlier in the season.

iRacing Studios today announced iRacing Arcade, what looks like a ‘cute’ and more accessible version of racing that will likely serve to introduce kids to the genre. I’ve always felt that elitism is misplaced in sim racing, because literally any iRacing Arcade or Hot Wheels racer today could be a hardcore sim racer tomorrow. This, in my opinion, is a very smart move by iRacing. Not only that, but it appears this game will introduce elements not yet seen on iRacing such as team management and upgrades.
The title is available to wishlist on Steam and has a Web site with more information and additional screenshots.
