As a direct ancestor of iRacing, the ‘Grand Prix Legends engine’ had multiple stock car racing false starts, before eventually releasing as NASCAR Racing 4. The original NASCAR 3, cancelled and replaced by one that used NASCAR 2’s engine, is barely remembered.
Better known today as the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, Bethesda once had a well-respected racing game franchise and were deep into development of a licensed Skip Barber Racing title that never released.
Heusinkveld have announced their latest product, a shifter, with a patented adjustable strength magnetic resistance that will allow users to specify whether they want a firm upshift, soft downshift, medium overall force or a combination of that through highly configurable software. The shifter is sequential, which means it just moves forwards and backwards, and the base of the unit includes three buttons that can be configured for any other role in your chosen simulation.
The shifter is €371.07, in-stock now, and can be purchased at heusinkveld.com. Technical details are available within their announcement.
